Although seals and sea lions live mainly on land, they do so near the ocean and spend some of their time underwater, where they can play and find food. Some of them can even live in the ocean.
There are several types of seals, such as the Elephant Seal, which is a huge seal that lives in the North Pacific Ocean. Elephant seals can grow as big as fifteen feet long. Northern Fur Seals are also mammals that live there. Harp Seals live in the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. Sea Lions are seals with ears that live on the sea shore. Seals feed on Herring and other types of fish.
Sea Otters look similar to seals but have very thick waterproof fur. I bet they get hot in the sun!
Walruses are large mammals that spend most of their life in icy seas and they have two large teeth, that they use to catch prey and scare off other animals.
