My cousin, the Basking Shark, is the second largest fish in the ocean, with the largest being the whale shark. The largest fish ever measured is believed to be eleven and a half metres long. That is the same length of a very tall tree.

The Basking Shark is a filter-feeder, like the Blue Whale and feeds by swimming with its mouth open, hoping to catch small fish and other small creatures and plants, such as plankton.
