Daily, millions of gallons of sewage waters are thrown into the ocean waters all around the world, which contain harmful bacteria and viruses that can cause diseases.
Just in case you wanted to know, sewage water is the water you flush down when you go to the toilet and the one that goes into the sink when you wash your teeth and hands.
This is in addition to trash thrown from ships and boats all over the world, which is horrifying to me and other fish and animals living in the ocean. Imagine, all the soap, shampoo, washing powder, paint, cooking oil and grease that you flush down your toilet and throw down your sink, gets into the ocean and surrounds us.
Sewage from farms, which contains fertilisers and pesticides, chemicals that help plants grow, also harm the oceans and all living creatures inside it. Farming chemicals are made to kill insects and pests and so they have no place to be in the ocean.
