A Shark has a mouth which is extremely big

And teeth which are so sharp, he can eat a pig.

He could eat a cow, or a horse or a sheep.

He could eat anything swimming so deep.

His senses are strong and very, very good

And he will always be led to the site of food.

His eyes don’t see well in the night or the day,

But his senses will always lead him to his prey.

He can look quite scary to you and me,

But he’s kind and helpful to his friends in the sea.

He likes eating fish and eels and things,

But he doesn’t eat everything that swims.

He won’t always eat old shoes or tyres

And he doesn’t much like very hot fires.

He’s not keen on eating rusty old tins,

Or papers and rubbish that comes from bins.

He lives alone, swimming miles each day,

With no fishy friends really wanting to play.

No dentists, no doctors, no chores to do,

His life is different from me and you.

He is the King of the Deep Blue Sea,

And his watery life is happy and free.
