He wanted some legs and he wanted to walk.
He wanted to hold things like me and you,
So he thought he might like some hands too.
Life was difficult for the Shark in the sea.
No schools, no playground and no TV.
No books to read, no games to play,
Just swimming around in the sea all day.
He wanted to learn how to run,
He had the idea it sounded like fun.
Once he had learned how to run & to walk,
He thought it’d be easy to learn how to hop.
Hopping and running around on the sand,
He saw a fun life there, on the land.
So he went to the Super Shark of the sea
And he said, Sir, Could You Please Help Me.
I am really bored just swimming all day,
I want hands and feet, to run and to play.
Super Shark laughed and turned to him,
He said, “As a Shark, you can only swim”
You are strong, you are wise, you live in the sea.
There can be no hands or feet for you and me.
But we can swim in the ocean and we’re totally free
And if you ask me, that’s how it’s meant to be.
